Today I've gone for the morning walk and even walked about 30 minutes to the supermarket and 30 minutes back.
Mental note: Not ready for almost 10 kilograms heavy bag walk.
I slept in today because I am starting new work tomorrow and I just wanted to enjoy it for the last time. I saw my husband off, slept a little longer on the couch and then went for the walk.
My brunch was around 11 am and it was a pre-cooked chilli sauce chicken breast (Heodak brand, best chilli taste out there, though I shop for it only when there is a discount event as it is on the pricier side of the scale), half bowl of mixed white & brown rice and few cherry tomatoes.
In the afternoon, as I said I would, I had around 30 minutes session with my suspensional trainer. I took it very slowly, working my way up from stretching, through core exercise up to the upper body and lower body exercises.
Suspensional trainer full body recovery workout:
Lower body: Squat hold, Wide squat w/ calf raise, Squat pulses,
Upper body: Low row, middle row, triceps extention
Core: Bird dog, standing roll outs, power pull
Stretching: Chest, Lats, Hamstrings, Calves
I weighed in and I am already 1.5 kilograms down from the after-surgery weight. But again, weight lost doesn't equal fat loss. Thus I took my measurements as well. I will be back with results on measurements next week Wednesday.
As I just started to exercise a little, I believe the weight loss happened because I got busy during my week at work trying to get the grip of things and also because I took up my old and very powerful daily exercise hack...the stairs. Anything under 5 floors is walk-able. I ditch the elevators, I ditch the escalators. If you make sure to use the right muscles to get you up the stairs, this simple hack can help you built nice glutes and thighs without you even realizing it.
I plan to have Coleslaw salad with heard boiled eggs tonight. Yum for the salad~~ Oh, my hack for the coleslaw is, that I use plain yogurt for as 3/4 of the sauce and only 1/4 of the mayonnaise.
Did what I needed, did what I wanted. I call this a very successful day.
Have a good one too,
You sincere,
Lenka Kim
